Bio

A native of Rappahannock County, Mr. Swindler is a proud member of the RCHS Class of 1978.  He earned his B.A. in history from the University of Virginia, his Master of Science in educational administration from Shenandoah University, and is currently working towards completion of his Doctorate in educational administration from Regent University.

Mr. Swindler has taught history and reading in the sixth and seventh grade at RCES, taught history and physical education at RCHS, has been the Athletic Director, the Facilities Director, and the Career and Technical Education Director for the division as well as the Assistant Principal for RCHS.  For the 2018-19 school year Mr. Swindler is the Principal at RCHS as well as the division CTE Director.

Mr. Swindler resides near Laurel Mills, Virginia, with his bride of over 27 years, Beth, who is a sign language interpreter for Stafford County Schools.  He has two children, Addie and Trey, both of whom are graduates of RCHS and both of whom continued their education, graduating from Christopher Newport University and Old Dominion University respectively.  Mr. Swindler enjoys his job thoroughly, the Panther blue and gold courses through his veins, but in his spare time also enjoys kayaking, getaways to the beach, train travel across the United States, and spending time on his boat in Urbanna, Virginia
